Gaming Highlights

Borderlands 4 shader update frustrates PC players

Gearbox is asking PC players to be patient... literally. After reports of severe stuttering with a recent patch, the studio says shaders now need 15 minutes to compile in the background when first launching the game. Players can technically still play during the process, but many report the experience feels rough until the shaders are finished. It’s another reminder of how demanding modern releases can be on PC hardware.

Nammo brings Soulslike boss rush energy

A new indie challenger, Nammo, was just announced for PC. The game takes the punishing combat and atmosphere of a Soulslike but focuses entirely on boss rush encounters. Instead of grinding through levels, players face a series of brutal showdowns that test reflexes, timing, and mastery of the game’s systems. For fans who live for boss fights, this could be a sleeper hit.

Helldivers 3 ruled out; Helldivers 2 lives on

Arrowhead’s CEO confirmed there are no plans for a Helldivers 3 anytime soon. Instead, the studio is committed to updating Helldivers 2 “for as long as it can go.” With steady content drops and a strong co-op community, Arrowhead seems focused on evolving the sequel into a live-service staple rather than rushing to a new installment.

North American CS legend EliGE made headlines by reuniting with Team Liquid for Fragadelphia 2025. The move has nostalgic fans buzzing, EliGE was a cornerstone of Liquid’s rise in CS:GO, and his return to the stage brings both veteran leadership and serious firepower. Fragadelphia continues to be a proving ground where NA’s biggest names meet grassroots competition.

DreamHack Atlanta 2025 locked in

DreamHack announced that Atlanta will once again host one of its flagship festivals in 2025. Expect a weekend packed with esports tournaments, LAN parties, cosplay, and live music. DreamHack Atlanta has built a reputation as one of the scene’s most community-focused events, making it a must-attend stop for fans across the U.S.

League of Legends adds regional emotes

Riot Games introduced new in-game emotes representing top regional leagues like the LCK, LPL, LCP, and LTA. It’s a fun way for fans to show support for their favorite regions while playing, especially with Worlds season heating up. Expect to see plenty of team spirit spammed in solo queue soon.

Closing Thoughts

That’s a wrap for this week’s GGF Weekly XP. From Gearbox’s shader struggles to EliGE’s return at Fragadelphia, it’s been a week filled with both player frustrations and esports nostalgia.
